Hero of the short Sci Fi story

‘Dino Ferox’ by the author L. H. Tide

ebook

Philip Magnus, a Paleontologist who is also a father, having lost his child has the surprise, one day, to find surprising fossilized footprints. It will put him on the path to find him. But his research will project him and a friend into a wild and frightening prehistoric world…

Lawrence Herbert Tide:

Hi Phil, how are you doing?

Phil Magnus:

Very well, thanks. Just a bit shaken by what I’ve lived through.

LHT:

Could you tell all of us what happened to you?

PM:

It’s a long, but unbelievable story…

LHT:

We have the time, no problem. Don’t be afraid to reveal your Adventure.

PM:

Afraid? Me? After all the things I had to endure? Are you joking? I had to endure a voyage through time, and was almost eaten alive, by example.

LHT:

Eaten alive?

PM:

Yes, by a prehistoric carnivorous dinosaur!

LTH:

I imagine it was the very well-known T-Rex? The Tyrannosaurus?

PM:

No, an Allosaurus, a distant cousin of the T –Rex… a bit smaller, but very frightening indeed, I can assure you!

LTH:

I imagine you had to flea such a creature? To hide from it? That’s probably what I would’ve done!

PM:

Not always… In the beginning, when I encountered it, I even defied it, and did everything I could to make it chase me!

LTH:

Chase you? Are you suicidal?

PM:

No. I’m just a father. A parent. My boy was going to be devoured by that huge beast, I had to make it stop by attracting its attention, to let him some time to escape. Because my child’s life is more important than mine…

LTH:

I’m a Daddy too, you know. Now that you’ve explained the circumstances, I think I would’ve done the same thing as you. But how did your son and you find yourselves thrown in such a dangerous world?

PM:

Everything happened because of that strange rock plate I found… what I discovered on its surface, after cleaning a bit its surface, changed my life forever! And especially linked me back to my lost son.

LTH:

Your lost son?

PM:

Yes… more than losing one’s life, losing a child is probably the greatest fear I will have known… Worse than being lost in the distant past without being sure to return back. I don’t wish it, even for my worst enemy!

LTH:

But you save him, alone?

PM:

I saved him, but I wasn’t alone. I was helped by a great friend of mine, my best friend! Thinking about it, I’m even ashamed to have involuntarily engaged him.

LTH:

What a story you’ve lived through!

PM:

Oh yes, anyone will enjoy discovering our Adventure!
